Led by the renowned AJ Snetler, our team brings over a decade’s worth of experience in the South African bar industry, along with a global competition pedigree, having successfully competed in numerous renowned events such as World Class, The Botanist, Havana Club Grand Prix and the Olmeca Altos Tahona Society where he placed 3rd on the global stage.

I am a proudly South African mixologist, developer, trainer, and event manager for everything bar related. I have been working in the hospitality industry for 16 years now, and my main strengths are staff training and menu development, however, after being mentored by amazingly passionate and talented individuals I can confidently say there is no job I haven’t had experience in within the bar scene, from brainstorming conceptual experiences, locking down suppliers and sponsors and all the back of house tasks, to bring menus and bar teams new life, while positively manipulating the guest experience in such a way that they have an emotional connection to the product and the craft by the end of every interaction.
My passion for mixology and the theatre of cocktails comes from a combination of my upbringing in the performing arts and a talent for flavor expressions that transports a guest to a personal experience. I believe the hospitality arena serves as a stage and every element of the performance must be transcendent.
I have been traveling the world doing what I do best: developing teams and menus and bringing them to life for hotel chains, like Hard Rock, Hyatt, Hilton, and Accor. My last few stops include the Maldives, India, Thailand, and Congo.
With my WSET in spirits level 2 certificate and many others in hand, I find my passion is best expressed when training bartenders through my personally created syllabus that teaches social and individual responsibility surrounding the bar arena. Bartending is so much more than sending out a good drink, it’s a responsibility and a passion the general public takes for granted, and my mission is to change that….while drinking epic cocktails that will blow your mind of course!
